Nice to see that at least some network out there believes in promoting the show!!!
I just finished watching season 1 ( I had only seen a few before). After reading all the negative remarks about season 2 from some of the fans, I was curious about season 1 -- but I have to say I just don't think it was better. DIFFERENT, yes. It too had some great episodes ( Baptise, the Russian embassy and the finale were my favorite) and some okay ones; there was still a chick that Chance tried to impress in each episode; and there was the same witty dialogues. I cannot say I have any strong feeling for the music in either season -- in fact in season 1 the music gets a little monotonous after a while -- or maybe I am too used to season 2 since I saw that first.
@Saturn It seems the negative fans yell the loudest, don't they? You won't find that here! I completely agree with you, the seasons were different, but all the basic elements that we kept coming back for remained.
I loved the Season 1 finale. It was excellent as it explained so much. Boy, I'm going to miss this show.... It's irreplaceable.
Yes, the season 1 finale was great. I just wish they had gone a little further with' the old man'. If you are going to show him ( I thought the actor was LOUSY), have him there for more than a few minutes. I think some fans were upset that there was no further mention of the ledger or the old man..... and maybe they should have. Altho, season 2 started with Chance saying he wasn't going to go on, scared of anybody, so maybe they wanted to move on from what had been the central story of season 1.
I usually don't get too involved with TV shows -- I watch what I like, and then stop when they deteriorate-- much like Bones, House,LAw and Order, etc., but this winter I discovered Hulu and would watch Human target on it a lot. I accidently discovered the show may not be renewed and thus started my research of the show. I don't know if that is the case with all TV shows, but I found a rather churlish and vociferous group of fans who blogged in every place possible about their dissapproval of season 2. And, it was usually the same names that showed up over and over again -- tirelessly. And thus began my interest in blogging about my opinions on the show!!
I agree with all you have said. There was an extremely nasty & critical core group of negative fans out there who, at least I think, went out of their way to criticize especially on the FOX community page. Can't help but think it helped drag down HT. Too bad because all & all I really like it. Loved the addition of Indira Varma to the cast. I thought Valley & Varma made a great television pair.
